Follow The Water

The animations I did for Follow The Water, NET’s documentary about photographer Mike Forsberg and filmmaker Peter Stegen’s bike/hike/canoe trip exploring the Platte River watershed.
Interesting story about the path a mythical drop of water takes from the Rocky Mountains to the Missouri River.
Early on I had settled on the map dots and route lines as key graphic elements, but Kelly Seacrest’s watercolor illustrations are what led me to the final piece of the puzzle, the watercolor reveal for each of the animations. Teamwork makes the dream work.
